Gaia's Calling

Mission/Vision

Our foremost mission is to dance, sing and play music to celebrate and honor Pachamama, Mother Earth, as the living, breathing, being who sustains us in all ways. Her Amazonian Jungle, one of our most precious resources, and her indigenous people, are in a major crisis. We aim to bring global awareness to the fact that the Amazon is in the 11th hour.  And, since the Amazon jungle is the "Lungs of the Earth", so are we. More than 20 percent of the world's oxygen is produced in the Amazon Rainforest!

We collaborate to raise money to help end deforestation, oil drilling and mineral mining in the Amazon Rain Forest. We have much to learn from the indigenous Peruvian Amazonian Nations, including their knowledge of medicinal plants.

We intend to place into modern practice the ancient Native American philosophy that the decisions we make today should result in a sustainable world seven generations into the future. Our vision is to seed the healing of our Earth Mother so that our descendants seven generations from now may also live to play music, sing and dance to honor her beauty and bounty.

The Amazon Rainforest has been described as the "Lungs of our Planet". It provides the essential environmental world service of continuously recycling carbon dioxide into oxygen. More than 20 percent of the world's oxygen is produced in the Amazon Rainforest.
